The Decreto Flussi 2023 is an annual Program set by the Italian Government that has set the number of work permits to be issued to Non-European applicants to work in Italy. It regulates the flow of foreign workers into the country. So, a total of 82,705 work permits will be issued which includes Seasonal workers, and nonseasonal workers as well. “Decree” means the flow of Foreign workers. You can enter Italy for work, self-employment, seasonal work, or nonseasonal work. Applicants who are granted a Visa on a Decreto Flussi program can stay in Italy for two years, and it can be renewable if they are still employed in Italy. All types of Fields are available. Decreto Flussi Rules for 2023

Total Work Permits: 82,705

The Italian government breaks down in detail the number of visas reserved for each category.

  • Subordinate work: 38,705 visas
  • Self-employment: 500 visas
  • Seasonal work: 44,000 visas
  1. 30,105 entries for employment, seasonal, and self-employment.
  2. 44,000 entries for seasonal employment in the agriculture and tourism-hotel sectors for people from specific countries.
  3. 7000 entries into subordinate and autonomous work residence permit.
  4. 1000 for people who have completed training and education programs abroad as approved by the Ministry of Labour and Education
  5. 500 for autonomous workers such as entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-ups, professionals, famous artists and directors, and auditors of Italian companies.
  6. 100 for people residing in Venezuela who have Italian origin up to the third-degree direct line of ancestry through at least one parent.

Eligible Countries

Most available quotas are only available to nationals of the following countries:

Albania, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kosovo, Mali, Mauritius, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Republic of North Macedonia, Senegal, Serbia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tunisia, and Ukraine.

Eligibility Criteria for Decreto Flussi

This is a General Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be a non-EU citizen.
  • You must have a job offer in Italy.
  • You must have a valid passport.
  • You must have a clean criminal record.
  • You must be able to speak Italian.
  • You must have sufficient financial means to support yourself in Italy.

How long you can stay?

Applicants can stay for up to 2 years and later on it can be renewable if you are still employed in Italy.
